Sunflower Disability Support began with a simple question: What if support could feel more human?
Navigating the NDIS can be complicated. For many, it feels like stepping into a maze confusing processes, inconsistent communication, and a lack of genuine connection. We saw the potential for something better. Sunflower was created to be part of that change—a service that brings clarity, care, and compassion to every step of the journey.
We come from professional backgrounds in nursing, support work, and service coordination, and through those experiences, we noticed the same recurring gaps. Support too often felt one-size fits-all. Communication between providers and participants was not always clear. And the people at the centre of it all—those relying on these services—were sometimes left feeling unheard.
That is what we aim to change.
Our vision for Sunflower is built around relationships—not transactions. We want to build a service that truly listens before acting. One that collaborates with participants, families, and support networks to design supports that are personal, practical, and empowering.
We have taken what we have learned in frontline roles and grown it into a broader vision for service delivery— where the participant’s voice leads the way. With the right team, strong values, and a commitment to doing things differently, we are laying the foundations for a service that can genuinely make a difference.
Sunflower is now a registered NDIS provider, ready to support individuals across Brisbane, the Sunshine Coast, Logan, Ipswich, and the Gold Coast. While we may be new, our intentions are rooted in a deep understanding of care and a desire to offer support that feels grounded, transparent, and person led.
We are building a team that shares those values—people who care deeply about showing up, asking the right questions, and working side-by-side with participants to achieve meaningful outcomes.
Our goal is simple: to become the kind of NDIS provider people can trust—not just for what we do, but for how we do it.
At Sunflower, we are here to light the way forward. With honesty, empathy, and a genuine commitment to better care, we are ready to walk this journey together—one step at a time.
At Sunflower, our mission is simple: to walk alongside you with support that is thoughtful, respectful, and truly centred around your life—not just your plan. We know that disability does not always show up in ways others can see, and that every journey looks different. That is why we are focused on offering care that recognises the full picture—what you need, how you want to live, and where you want to go.
We believe in choice and control, but also in listening closely. Our mission is to help make the NDIS feel less overwhelming and more like a tool that works for you. Whether you need support at home, in the community, or with planning and coordination, we are here to help you live life on your terms—with confidence, not compromise
We see a future where every person with a disability—whether visible or not—is supported with care that is tailored, consistent, and free of assumptions. At Sunflower, we aim to set a new standard in how disability support feels: clear, grounded, and built on genuine connection.
We are not here to tick boxes or follow scripts. Our vision is about shifting the focus back to what really matters—trust, dignity, and a sense of belonging. We want to be a provider you can rely on not just for services, but for understanding.
As we grow, we are committed to staying transparent, evolving with your feedback, and always keeping our hearts in the work. We aim to become one of Queensland’s most trusted NDIS registered providers not because we say so, but because we show up and do the work the right way.
